Sherm Heater Inc., REALTORS was started in December of 1978 in the family room of Sherm and Jerry Heater's home while they waited for the new building to be completed. Their goal was to build a 'state of the art' facility and create a real estate business model anchored in the fundamental core values of all successful enterprises; Honesty, Integrity, Respect and Professionalism.
Sons, Dan, Kurt and Russ were all on board and working for the firm by the end of 1980. Through the years, Sherm Heater Inc., REALTORS established their place among the elite real estate companies in the local market. In the early 1990's, recognizing the trend toward bigger, far reaching franchises, Sherm and Jerry decided to affiliate the company with Prudential Real Estate. Prudential Sherm Heater Inc., REALTORS plugged into a company that has established itself among the most successful and desirable in Real Estate. While the affiliation exposed us to world wide connections, the core values at our company remained the same.
In early 2001, Sherm and Jerry retired from the business they created. Kurt and Russ took over the operation. Dan, who was not actively working in the business at the time, returned as a broker in December of 2004. Kurt manages the operation full time, Russ also known as 'Team Heater' has built a hugely successful team, and Dan has established himself again as a successful broker.
The company still enjoys an excellent reputation both in business and for the myriad of community activities that they are involved in individually and as a group. Armed with a crew of long term real estate professionals as a basis, the company is now looking to remodel and, again, build a 'state of the art' facility and expand and improve the business model that Sherm and Jerry started over 30+ years ago.
